As a neighborhood level representative for the Democratic party, you will help us create new relationships and drive voter turnout at a hyper-local level.
What Does a Precinct Commiteeperson Do?
- Build relationships and organize Democrats in their neighborhood
- Register new voters that move into their neighborhood
- Communicate the principles and platform of the Democratic Party
- Listen to voter’s concerns and communicate those concerns to the Democratic Party leadership
- Support Democratic candidates and officeholders representing their neighborhood

How It Works
Any registered Democrat is eligible to be a PC in the precinct where she/he lives as long as they are willing to do the work! PCs are elected during the Primary election and serve a two-year term. PCs can also be appointed by the County Chair.
A precinct is a designated area within a district where voters reside. It serves as the smallest unit for organizing elections. Precincts are essential for ensuring every vote is counted.
Precinct committees are made up of local party members who work to engage voters. They organize events, distribute materials, and mobilize support for candidates. Their efforts help strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Reach out to your legislative district chair. You can also attend LD meetings to let your Chair know directly. You will need to complete an appointment form.
